THE ASK - I was given total freedom to create this video for Genesis’ Black Dog which is a term used in Mental health for depression and darkness.

MY APPROACH - Im a huge fan and in a limited budget the simpler the better. So I played with the Negative/Positive space, textures and the black & white, with a splash of red color to jump occasionally. I designed it into 5 performance setups. The black suit on white; the white suit on black; the textured padded wall: the squid on his head as I loved the abstract slimy texture and the water. With a few cutaways that represented a rebirth, starting with the pushing through the paper: Then climbing onto the mirrored floor; then breaking out from the Vinyl and finally the water symbolizing the purity of spirit and mind
